Which currencies are supported for international transactions?
Karbon supports all major currencies for international transfers, except those restricted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), for example, currencies from Russia and Ukraine.
Important considerations:
For less common (exotic) currencies, we recommend checking with Karbon Support before initiating a transfer.
Some exotic currencies may:
Require special routing through specific correspondent banks
Incur higher intermediary charges
Currency availability can vary based on:
The correspondent bank network we use
The transaction type - inward or outward remittance
Tip: Always confirm currency availability in advance to avoid delays or unexpected charges.
What to do if a payment fails?
If a payment fails, contact Karbon Support immediately so we can help identify and resolve the issue.
Common reasons for payment failure:
Incorrect or incomplete account details
Compliance holds pending document verification
Intermediary bank rejection due to missing or mismatched information
Insufficient payment details in the payment instruction
Regulatory restrictions in the sending or receiving country
What happens next:
In most cases, funds are either returned to the sender or held temporarily until the issue is resolved.
Our team will work with you (and your payer, if applicable) to correct the issue and reinitiate the payment if needed.
How to speed up resolution:
Share complete supporting documents (e.g., payment proof, bank confirmation)
Provide any additional information requested by our team promptly
