This online privacy policy (“OPP”) uses terms in the context as follows,Karbon Card, its website www.karboncard.com, digital wallet and related mobile applications shall be collectively referred to as “Karbon Card” and any corporate entities or its employees, any individuals or family members of such individual or any person using Karbon Card shall be referred to as “KC User”.
Karbon Card is sensitive to the data and information of a personal/corporate nature. By using Karbon Card, KC Users may provide personal/corporate information. KC Users consent to the terms of OPP and that Karbon Card shall be processing such personal/corporate information for the purposes explained in this policy by applying or by subscribing to Karbon Card services. KC Users also agree to Karbon Card contacting KC Users pursuant to the business relationship established using the information KC Users provide to Karbon Card. Karbon Card request KC Users to read the OPP in accordance with User Agreement and term and conditions and to use these to make informed decisions. Karbon Card is committed to ensuring that information shared by KC Users is protected and shall solely be used in accordance with OPP.
Privacy
KC User privacy is of utmost importance to Karbon Card. Karbon Card follows systematic and stringent procedures to protect the security of the information / data shared and stored with Karbon Card. The information that KC Users have shared is stored in secure server with encryption and can be accessed only for official purposes. Any of Karbon Card employees who violate OPP and / or security policies related to customer’s data is subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination and civil and / or criminal prosecution.
Application
Upon signing up for Karbon Card, KC Users are required to provide certain basic mandatory informationinter-alianame, date of birth and mobile numberetc. Karbon Card never request more information than is reasonably necessary to provide requested services. Karbon Card assume all the information provided is true, accurate, current, non-misleading, consistent and relevant.
Information
Information means and includes all information that can be linked to a specific individual/corporate entity or to identify any individual/corporate entity, such as: (i) full name, address, e-mail address, mobile number, date of birth and bank or payment card details and any proof of identity and / or address that we may request, (ii) details of any transactions through Karbon Card, (iii) details of any credit, debit or other card used by KC Users for transactions, (iv) details of any bank account (including but not limited to, account holder, account name, account number, sort code, online banking PIN, transaction authentication number "TAN" and password, available balance and transaction history of the bank account), ITR, tax certificates or any other income documents as necessary, (v) any correspondence with Karbon Card, (vi) survey complete based on our request, (vii) participation in any promotion, (viii) calls and SMSs with Karbon Card, (ix) information collected through cookies, (x) IP address, log-in times, operating system and browser type, (xi) details of digital visits to Karbon Card including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data.
Anonymous Information: Karbon Card may uses cookies to collect information for record keeping purposes and makes it easier to navigate. Cookies are small text files that are stored on KC Users' hard drives. Karbon Card will not use cookies to collect personal/corporate information without getting such permission. Karbon Card use both "session ID cookies" and "persistent cookies." Session ID cookies are used to store information while a KC User is logged into the site and expires when the KC User closes their browser. Persistent cookies are used to make tasks like logging into the site easier for returning KC Users by remembering a KC User's login information. Persistent cookies stay on a KC User's hard drive from one session to the next. You may choose not to receive cookies from Karbon Card by following instructions on the website.
Information Collected by Merchants: Karbon Card shall engage independent merchants to provide certain services and products. Access to any of KC Users personal/corporate information by these merchants is limited to the information reasonably necessary in order for the merchants to perform their limited services. Karbon Card also insist that these merchants protect KC Users personal/corporate information in a manner consistent with the OPP and that the merchants shall not use or disclose personal/corporate information for any purpose other than providing Karbon Card with the contracted products or services. We will not sell, distribute or lease the personal/corporate information to merchants unless: (i) required by law, (ii) where disclosure is necessary to protect Karbon Card rights, protect KC Users safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud or respond to a written government request, (iii) If Karbon Card becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, Karbon Card will provide notice before any information becomes subject to a different privacy statement, and (iv) to any other merchant or a third party with prior consent to do so.
Information Collected by Third Party: Third-party servers or networks may serve advertisements on Karbon Card digital interface. These third-party servers or networks use technology to send, directly to KC Users browser, the advertisements and links. They automatically receive KC Users IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content. Karbon Card does not provide any personal/corporate identifiable information to these third-party servers or networks without KC Users consent. However, please note that if an advertiser asks Karbon Card to show an advertisement to a certain audience or audience segment and KC Users respond to that advertisement, the advertiser or ad-server may conclude that KC Users fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. KC Users should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers or ad networks. This OPP does not apply to, and Karbon Card cannot control the activities of, such advertisers.
Use of Information
We use personal/corporate information to provide KC Users with services & products KC Users explicitly requested for, like the following: (i) to carry out KC Users instructions for making and receiving payments and undertake transactions using Karbon Card services, including verifying that KC Users have sufficient funds to make such payments, (ii) to operate and administer KC Users account for providing services requested, (iii) to notify changes to Karbon Card service(s), (iv) to comply with financial services regulations including retention of financial information and transactions, (v) for customer service, including answering questions and responding to feedback and complaints, (vi) to provide information, products or services that are requested, (vii) to participate in interactive features, (viii) to improve customer training and quality monitoring, (ix) for financial and identity checks, fraud prevention checks, anti-money laundering and credit checks, (x) to enhance the security, (xi) to send offers based on previous orders and interests, (xii) to complete optional online surveys which may include contact information and demographic information (like zip code, age, gender).
Retention of Information
Karbon Card is required, under applicable laws, to retain certain records for a period as suggested by regulatory authorities even after closure of KC Users account, which will include personal/corporate data such as name, contact details, customer number and transaction history, ("Retained information"). Other than the Retained information, Karbon Card will delete and destroy all personal/corporate information when the commercial relationship is terminated. We do not store online banking login PIN, TAN and / or password. Please note that we will not store KC Users credit card information. Please note that we will never ask personal/corporate or security details by e-mail. If email is received, please do not respond to it ("Such E-mail"). Please forward any Such E-mail to support@karboncard.com and thereafter delete the e-mail immediately.
Transfer of Information
We may share KC Users personal/corporate information with third parties to provide services that Karbon Card offer, conduct quality assurance testing, facilitate creation of accounts, provide technical and customer support, or provide specific services, such as synchronization of contacts with other software applications, in accordance with KC Users instructions. These third parties are required not to use KC Users personal/corporate information other than to provide the services requested by KC Users. Karbon Card may share personal/corporate information of KC Users with Karbon Card subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control that may have now or in the future, in which case Karbon Card will require them to honour this OPP. If another company acquires Karbon Card or assets, that company will possess personal/corporate information, and will assume the rights and obligations with respect to that information as described in this OPP.
Karbon Card may disclose Your personal/corporate information to third parties in a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (i) take action regarding suspected illegal activities, (ii) enforce or apply User Agreement and this OPP, (iii) comply with legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order, or (iv) protect Our rights, reputation, and property, or that of Our users, affiliates, or the public, and (v) Karbon Card may disclose information in the aggregate to third parties relating to user behaviour in connection with actual or prospective business relationship with those third parties, such as advertisers, content distributors or investment, a may be determined by Karbon Card.
Security
Karbon Card has drawn up stringent security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information provided by KC Users under Karbon Card’s control. At any point of time, when KC Users change or access account information, Karbon Card offer the use of a secure server. Once information is in Karbon Card possession, Karbon Card adhere to strict security guidelines, protecting the information against unauthorized access. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
International Users
Karbon Card is governed by laws of India. If an international KC User provides personal/corporate information such information shall be transferred to India, and such KC User consent to that transfer.

If KC Users would like to view the information collected or want to correct such information, please log into the specific account to view the above details and to review personal/corporate information. If any information is incorrect or incomplete, please email Us at support@karboncard.com. Karbon Card may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. We will post a notice on Karbon Card home page that this OPP has changed. Unless stated otherwise, Karbon Card current OPP applies to all information that Karbon Card have about KC Users. OPP is effective from the date last updated.
Consent
Karbon Card consent to the collection and use of the information disclose to Karbon Card in accordance with this OPP, by using Karbon Card and/or by providing information, including but not limited to consent, for sharing such information as per this OPP. Updates to OPP
OPP may change at any time without prior notification. To make sure that KC Users are aware of any changes, kindly review the OPP periodically. This OPP shall apply uniformly to all KC Users.
Enforcement
We may use the information collected, in connection with use of Karbon Card (including personal/corporate information) in order to investigate, enforce, and apply our User Agreement and OPP.
Dispute Resolution
If You believe that Karbon Card or any of it’s users has not adhered to this OPP please email to Us at support@karboncard.com (describing non-compliance. Karbon Card will investigate KC Users complaint promptly.)
